“The Creature” is an experimental and generative video art, which depicts a life cycle of various abstract creatures. With the help of simple chemical reaction in milk, the autonomous chemistry not only creates chaos but also an immersive visual experience, in which the creatures are described as frontal and bilaterally symmetrical faces and evolved from singular to complex form.

Zhang Longfei is a freelance motion designer and self-taught photographer, born in Chengdu, China. He earned a Diploma with Merit of Motion Graphics & Broadcast Design from Nanyang Polytechnic and was awarded a gold medal from The Singapore Computer Society in 2012. As a motion graphics designer, he has collaborated with creative directors and producers, designing video art for corporate companies, events, Channels and TV commercials, like Singapore National Day Parade, Baybeats Singapore, Channel NewsAsia, Singtel, OCBC Bank, Super Coffee, Asus, Osim and many others. His work has been featured in various publications, such as The New Paper and The Brand New Award. In 2011 he won Crowbar Awards silver and bronze. Longfei now is pursuing his study in Nanyang Technological University, Art Design and Media. He is also constantly looking to gain more experience in art, design and photography.
